We are excited to announce that Munroe Chiropractic and Massage will be re-opening effective Wednesday May 20th for Chiropractic services with Heather Munroe. Registered Massage Therapy services with Jenny Higgins will be available Monday June 1st. Thank you for your patience while we were awaiting directives from our professional regulatory colleges and preparing for our ‘new normal’.

In order to ensure our return is as safe as possible, we have enacted several operational, cleaning and hygiene protocols that must be followed by both practitioner and patient at the time of booking, as well as at your appointment time. Please visit our website before each visit to ensure you are familiar with our current polices and procedures as they may change.

We will do our best to accommodate all those in need of an appointment, but we will be spacing out our appointment times in order to maintain physical distancing in common areas and to allow for enhanced cleaning and hygiene protocols between patients. Family members of the same household will be able to book appointments back-to-back as per usual.

Please arrive within 5 minutes of your scheduled appointment time and your practitioner will meet you at the door.  We ask that you come to your appointment alone whenever possible. Our waiting room will have limited seating.  If weather permits, please wait outside while you wait for your appointment.  Please come on time and prepared for your appointment, limit washroom usage, and exit in a timely manner to allow for our new cleaning and hygiene protocols.

New policies and procedures include:

1) Screening

Before booking an appointment online please complete the COVID-19 self-assessment tool found at and follow all directives. This self-assessment tool must be repeated again within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment if your initial booking time was greater than 24 hours in advance of your appointment. We will also be screening all patients who make appointments by phone. Your practitioner will also do a secondary screen before starting treatment. Please cancel your appointment if you are feeling unwell, have any COVID-19 symptoms, or if you have any known exposure risks or have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days. We will not charge you for any illness-related missed or cancelled appointments, so when in doubt, please stay home.

2) Arrive on time

Please arrive within 5 minutes of your scheduled appointment time. Your practitioner will meet you at the door to allow entry into the clinic.

3) Wear a mask

We currently require that all patients wear a single use procedural mask or a re-usable fabric mask. If you do not have a mask we can provide you with one

All practitioners will be wearing masks.

4) Hand hygiene

We require that all patients sanitize their hands upon entering the clinic and after their appointment. There will be hand sanitizer available at the front counter and in treatment rooms.

5) Payment

Most of you have either direct billing or credit cards in the system already.   Receipts will be emailed to you as they have been.

6) If you become ill

If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 please contact your family physician or call 811 and follow all health care directives.
